Ordinary Giants makes short documentary films about everyday people doing extraordinary things in their own way.
The project
Artists, makers, subcultures, and the people keeping old crafts alive. We film them, photograph them and write about them, and put it all here, free to watch and read.
Independent
Ordinary Giants is independently run. No network and no algorithm decides who we film or how long we take. We choose the stories, and we give them the time they need.
Founder
Ordinary Giants was started by Jake Ashe, a self-taught filmmaker in Melbourne who directs and shoots his own work. He is drawn to people who are exact and reluctant to over-explain, and to work that lasts.
