About these terms

These terms apply to your use of ordinarygiants.au ("the site"), run by Jake Ashe, an individual based in Victoria, Australia. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Our content

The films, photographs, writing and design on this site are owned by Ordinary Giants or by the people who made or appear in them, and are protected by copyright.

You are welcome to share links to our pages and embed our films from YouTube. Please do not download, copy, republish, edit or use our content for commercial purposes without our written permission. To ask, email us.

The people we feature

Our films and stories reflect the views and experiences of the people featured, not necessarily those of Ordinary Giants. We aim to tell their stories accurately and fairly. If you think we have got something wrong, please tell us and we will look at it.

Our emails

If you subscribe, we will send you new films and stories. You can unsubscribe at any time with one click. We may stop or change the mailing list at any time.

If you send us something

If you send us work, ideas or suggestions (for example to contribute or to suggest someone to feature), you keep ownership of it. We will not publish your work without agreeing it with you first. Sending something does not mean we will use it, and we may already be working on similar ideas.

Partnerships and advertising

Any sponsored or partner content will be clearly labelled. Partnerships are agreed separately in writing and do not change these terms.

The site also shows ads served by Google AdSense, marked as advertisements. Showing an ad does not mean we endorse the product or the advertiser.

Links to other sites

We link to and embed content from other sites, including YouTube, Instagram and the websites of the people we feature. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or how they handle your information.

Using the site

Please do not misuse the site: for example, by trying to break or overload it, scraping it in bulk, or signing other people up to our emails without their permission.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it as is and may change or remove content at any time. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
